In case you weren’t at the PSSA General Forum, we had a slight change in the by-laws which affect the length of the term of each position. You can find the updated by-laws on our website.
Sergeant Claude Taylor spoke with us about the new procedures and phone numbers to call for security or police whether it is an emergency or not. Butch Juelg went over the problems with the new help desk procedures. He addressed the problems and frustrations that everyone seems to be experiencing. He assured us that brighter days are ahead and things will smooth out over time.
Four seats are up for election: President-elect, Secretary, Treasurer and Training and Activities Coordinator. Malinda Yanock will go on to be President starting September 1, 2009. Nomination ballots will out soon. I urge you to be part of the process. We already have Dr. Head’s ear; we need to have a voice.
Birthday greetings and cup cakes were doled for those PSSA folks that had birthdays in January, February, March and April.
Also, an announcement was made about the off-campus Spring event, which by now you should have seen an e-mail from Bruce O’Neal detailing our day.
I’m always at your disposal. Please feel free to call or e-mail me with any questions or concerns you might have. I’ll wrap it up with a quote from Scott Hamilton – “The only disability in life is a bad attitude.”
